Can Napier truck tents be used with a tonneau cover? Yes, certain types of tonneau covers are compatible. Retractable covers can be used, while folding and hinged covers need to be removed. Roll-up covers that are less than 6" high are compatible if the tent is placed over the cover. If the cover is higher than 6", we recommend removing it.

Can you fit the tent over a truck bed toolbox? Yes, the tent can be placed over the toolbox to minimize water entry between the box and the tent. We suggest covering the corners of the toolbox to protect the tent from sharp edges. However, please note that the tent's space will be reduced by the size of the toolbox.

Will the tent work if my truck has a camper shell/cap on it? No, truck tents are not compatible with camper shells/caps. In this case, we recommend using Napier SUV tents, as long as the height from the ground to the highest point of the shell window/door does not exceed 80".

Can I drive with the tent set up in the bed of the truck? No, it is not safe to drive with the tent mounted to your vehicle. Doing so may cause personal injury and/or damage to your tent and truck.

Can one person set up a Napier truck tent by themselves? How long will it take? Yes, one person can set up the tent, but we recommend having assistance during the first setup. The initial setup should take approximately 15 minutes, and subsequent setups will take about 10 minutes. Each tent comes with set-up instructions and color-coded poles for easy assembly.
